 Summer Artwork

Salutations!

Well, I know it’s been a long time, but I’m back! Ready and armed, with all the latest MCU news and other fun stuff. Today, I wanted to share some art I’ve done. The thought behind this post was to provide an impetus for the artists who need a summer project. Anyways, I hope you enjoy! Disclaimer: Everything you see is my version of artwork I traced on the web. If you do a quick google search, you could find the original piece.

Classic Loki

This particular drawing took me three hours to complete. It was the very first time I had drawn something using realism. Realism is an art technique, in which you try to make your piece look as realistic as possible. Like it could pop out of the page, and be placed in a real-world setting. And of course, classic loki was the best way to kick-start something new.

MLK Day

Obviously, the person in the drawing isn’t Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This was actually an assignment for MLK day. The idea was to take a figurative quote from his famous, “I Have A Dream” speech, and complete a drawing to go with the quote. I found a drawing that I traced, and then altered, so that the girl looked slightly distraught. The first time I showed someone this drawing, (my dad) he said, “It’s good, but why does she look like she just farted?” 🤦‍♀️

Hair Highlighting

I like this drawing, but the eyes took days of erasing and re-trying to complete. One day, I finally sat down with a fresh mind, and did the eyes. It’s not the most realistic drawing, but I laugh and love this piece because of the tiny nose, and wide face. It’s definitely a unique art style. 😅

I do hope that you enjoyed this week’s post! Now that it’s summer, I will most certainly have more frequent posts. (All my Marvel nerds, let us rise once again!) See ya!
