Kang the Conquerer May Have a Moon Knight Connection

Published on Apr 19, 2022 by Amaya Jalal

Hello! There’s a theory going around, that Kang the conquerer, or He Who Remains will appear in Moon Knight. I couldn’t be more excited, since if Kang may appear, you know who else may as well 😉.

So, in the comics, Kang’s origins begin in Egypt. Or at least Nathaniel Richards, Kang’s originally version, of him before Kang traveled to Egypt. The story, in the comics, is that Kang, or the version of himself from the past, present, and future recruited his younger self, from the 31st century. Their first destination was Egypt, where Nathaniel met Ravonna Renslayer, and fell in love with her (who would fall in love with that tyrant? Oh, I guess another one 😒).

Of course, your first thought may associate Kang’s egyptian lineage and pedigree with Moon Knight…

(How I feel right now)

…but yeah! Ultimately, that’s right! But now, we have evidence to back it up :)

Last week, when episode 3 released, Marc Spector was fighting a bunch of people loyal to Ammut on a roof, and then preceded to chase them all throughout Egypt (where eventually Jake took control 😏). Well, take a look at one of the guy’s jacket.

So, that is an early version of Kang from the comics, when he travels to Egypt, and becomes a pharaoh of some sort. Of course, this does not have his face. This detail implies that Kang’s history in Egypt has not gone forgotten, and this also means… THERE’S A VARIANT OF HIM IN THE MCU!!!!!!

Now look at a cover from a newer comic released on Kang.

That headpiece looks awfully similar to that jacket. And this detail isn’t the only thing going on.

As of a month ago, Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, directors who are currently, yep, you guessed it, directing part of Moon Knight, announced they will take on Loki season 2!!!! Wouldn’t it make sense that the two projects connect? The same thing is happening for writer Michael Waldron, who wrote Loki. (He also wrote Doctor Strange 2, which all of us know Loki, Sylvie, and Mobius will be in 😱)

Thank you everyone! See you soon!
